Before anyone gets that “sanctimonious Christian” attitude about this post, let me just say two things:
1. I am a sinner, saved by God’s grace.
2. I have had an abortion (1989), and the things they are saying have not changed much over the years.
“Undercover” tape from Indy Planned Parenthood:
Now I love Rush Limbaugh – listen to him alot, agree with him alot. But I don’t always listen, and I don’t always agree. This, however did NOT sound like something El Rushbo would just put out there! Having listened to him, I find him to be meticulous in his speaking – not only eloquent, but very concise on what he means. So I was pretty sure I could find out whether this was true or not.
As I said in the title, it isn’t. As usual, those who want a thing, manipulate what is said (we call that twisting where I come from) to make it so – at least in their minds, if not in reality.
So, here is what Rush said: Asked by a caller on Tuesday (I am assuming 3/09) what he would do if health care passes, Limbaugh gave this response:
“I don’t know. I’ll just tell you this, if this passes and it’s five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented, I am leaving the country. I’ll go to Costa Rica.”
And here he is saying it: (please forgive the quality – it is an “anti-Rush” production)
Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, in support of patriotic debate and disagreement!!
Oh, wait… what? Oh, she said that in 2003 when Bush was President? Oops, my bad. Never mind….
The bill that is being pushed for vote this weekend is now online! Get your bifocals out and get cracking!!
