Back “in the day”, one cared about what people thought of them. One’s character and reputation was everything. Now – well, not so much.
What brings this rant on is Social Media – i.e. facebook. Every day, there is at least ONE post on my wall regarding being a “Bitch”.
You know the ones:
“IF BY BITCH YOU MEAN…..” ending with some explanation that makes being known as a bitch a good thing.
I am here to tell you, ladies, “BITCH” is not a good thing. Because I love Merriam-Webster, I will share what this book has as the definition of bitch:
Definition of BITCH1: the female of the dog or some other carnivorous mammals2a: a lewd or immoral womanb: a malicious, spiteful, or overbearing woman —sometimes used as a generalized term of abuse3: something that is extremely difficult, objectionable, or unpleasant4
If you get NOTHING ELSE from this, please get this….. you can be witty, outspoken, intelligent, strong willed and – yes – even a bit unpleasant and still NOT be a bitch. One thing separates the two – TACT!!
I’m just sayin’….
